BOM analysis

BILL OF MATERIALS
Processing and analyzing a BOM (Bill Of Materials) involves a lot of data. Manually analyzing a BOM in electronics is error-prone and time-consuming. Our BOM software automates this process, providing quick and accurate insight into purchasing costs. In addition, the reproducibility of the BOM and the production process is important in order to gain insight into how these can be optimized. Global Electronics B.V. helps you gain this insight.
A BOM reduces the risk of errors
The purchase of materials is planned on the basis of a BOM. The parts lists serve as a guideline and the clear step-by-step instructions reduce the risk of errors. All assemblies, intermediate products, and components that form part of a final product are clearly listed in a BOM.
Economic Order Quantity (EOQ)
Based on all the components that need to be ordered for the assembly of the PCBA, we are able to determine what the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) should be for optimal purchasing in order to prevent residual material as much as possible. During this analysis, we also look at possible alternative components.
Our approach
Your data will be processed in our ERP system.
We do this using specialized software, which allows us to process this data quickly and efficiently.
This software also allows us to check revision changes quickly and easily.
For each customer, we create a list of permitted product codes, which serves as a reference for future use within the software.
After fully processing the BOM, we can determine the optimal price and order quantities for each supplier using our own APIs (Application Programming Interface).
Benefiting from smart data
During the BOM analysis, we use our own specialized software that enables us to purchase as efficiently as possible. This allows us to reduce costs across a wide range of suppliers. Our goal is to 'transform big data into smart data', because our motto is to purchase well and with high quality using smart software. We take into account 'long lead time items', i.e. components that have a longer delivery time than desired. For these items, we consult with you to find alternatives so that the desired delivery time can be met.
